When it comes to painting, we are here to help you create beautiful living spaces. Check out our tips on how to prep for your DIY paint project.
Quality Paint brushes
Quality Roller and roller handle
Roller, tray and liner
Roller extension pole
Handheld paint bucket with liner for cutting ceiling and trim.
Fine grit sandpaper or sanding sponge.
Spackle to repair small holes, cracks.
Canvas drop sheets or Floor protection paper to keep your floors safe
Plastic drop sheets to keep your Furniture, Countertops, etc. free from paint spills
Painters masking tape (Frog Tape is a favourite of ours)
Screwdriver for removing plug and switch plates, etc..
Paint stir sticks
Taking your time to properly prepare the space will make your job so much easier. Key preparation items include; Covering all floor areas and items that cannot be removed from the room. Removing all plug and switch plate covers. Taping baseboard and trim. Covering windows and blinds to protect them from possible paint splatter.
Once you have applied your final coat of paint and are happy with the coverage, remove any masking tape, before the paint is completely dry. Removing the tape after the paint has dried, can sometimes pull paint off of the painted area.
